I don’t claim to know the inner workings of the tech I use on a normal basis, but I do find certain things interesting about it. For instance, I’ve taken the pleasure of rewatching Person of Interest lately, and it’s one helluva show. But on one episode, titled Guilty, there’s a case where the heroes are trying to solve a murder. What’s special about this case is it involves a technological advancement, otherwise known as 5G.
In the show they label it 5K but the interesting part was the company responsible for introducing this technology had workers who came down with various illnesses. You can pretty mucbar this technology caused their illnesses.
One of the characters (Harold Finch) sums it up better than I can. He describes how workers could be exposed to radiation levels that far exceeded safety limits, therefore having the potential to “microwave people.”

So me being the person I am, I thought about the various warnings I’ve been reading and hearing regarding cell towers, smartphones, laptops, WiFi and routers, etc, and how all of these things emit radio waves that we expose ourselves to daily. Now this may all be harmless or hyperbole, but somewhere in between lies some truth. Why else would there be episodes and platforms giving any amount of attention to this? Like I tend to say, art imitates life and truth can be stranger than fiction. On the bright side, I did a few more searches and stumbled onto something called LiFi. Seems very similar to WiFi except they work different.
Global Li-Fi (Light Fidelity) Markets 2019-2024 – Limited Range And Connectivity And Lack Of Awareness About The Technology
DUBLIN, April 24, 2019 /PRNewswire/ — The “Li-Fi (Light Fidelity) Market – Analysis of Growth, Trends and Forecast (2019 – 2024)” report has been added to ResearchAndMarkets.com’s offering. The Li-fi Market is expected to register a CAGR of over 70.54 % during the forecast period 2019 – 2024 Li-Fi is a disruptive technology that is poised to impact many industries.
Now I won’t go in too much detail because I’m just learning the name myself, but so far I’m reading it does what WiFi can but without using radio waves. Then I started to think about all this technology we have around us (and might have even more if and when 5G tech rolls across America), what if it’s contributing to some of the insane things we experience throughout society? Just a crumb of a thought.
Wireless Radiation: Stop the 5G Network on Earth and in Space, Devastating Impacts on Health and the Environment – Global Research
If the telecom plans for 5G come to fruition, no person, no animal, no bird, no insect and no plant on Earth will be able to avoid exposure, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, to levels of RF radiation that are tens to hundreds of times greater than what exists today
There’s very little space you can go in a city without interfacing with some form of technology (or pollution) these days, which is a privacy nightmare when you think about it. But the reason I’m even giving light to this notion is due to the idea when people venture away from heavy tech and urban areas, they experience better health outcomes.
Want to be happier and better able to cope with stress? New research says living near a forest, even if you’re in the city makes a positive impact. A long-term study conducted by the Max Planck Institute for Human Development and published in Nature Scientific Reports found another key relationship between humans and nature.
There was an article or two about that and it makes me think (again), should we continue living with these devices if they’re causing a any amount of harm, and do we have the solutions or alternatives available that might minimize the effects while keeping the benefits we’ve grown accustom to?
